Psychiatry Residency

Dr.’s Miller and Gonzalez lead the Texas Institute for Graduate Medical Education and Research (TIGMER) at the University of Incarnate Word School of Medicine, providing a comprehensive Psychiatry Residency Program. Our program focuses on evidence-based clinical practice, research and teaching to provide quality patient care with a humanistic approach. With dedicated faculty and a comprehensive curriculum, our residents are well-prepared to become successful psychiatrists.

ER Consultation

Our ER Consultation service provides evaluation and treatment of hospitalized patients with mental health concerns. We work collaboratively with the primary treatment team to provide comprehensive, compassionate care for patients. We strive to offer the best possible care for individuals with mental health needs.

Consult Liaison

Consultation-liaison psychiatry, also known as psychosomatic medicine, focuses on the care of patients with comorbid psychiatric and general medical conditions. Consultation-liaison psychiatry deals with the understanding and advancement of medical science, education, and the provision of healthcare for medically ill patients.
